When you visit this site

This site is made of fixed files. It sets no cookies, loads no fonts or scripts from other servers and contains no analytics or advertising. There are no user accounts.

This site is delivered by Cloudflare Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) through its Pages service. When a page is requested, the host processes the connection data that is technically required to deliver it: your IP address, the time, the address requested, and details of your browser and operating system. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in running the site securely. We keep no server logs of our own.

What stays on your device

If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers the choice in its local storage under the name „tbl-thema“. It never leaves your device, and you can delete it in your browser settings at any time. This is needed for the function you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 of the German TDDDG).

Boney, the guide at the bottom right, runs entirely in your browser. Its answers are written by our team. Nothing you click or type in it is sent or stored.

When you write to us

„Start a pilot“ prepares an email in your own mail program. Nothing is sent until you send that email yourself. The order and guide forms on this site are previews: they send and store nothing.

If you email us at contact@thebackbonelab.com, we process your name, your email address and your message to answer you. Incoming mail to this address is received by the email routing of Cloudflare Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) and forwarded to our mailbox. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns a contract or its preparation, otherwise Article 6(1)(f). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Business correspondence is kept for the retention periods of commercial and tax law, usually six to ten years. Other requests are deleted once they are done.

Links to the other brands of the Backbone family lead to their own websites. Their own privacy policies apply there.
